Silencing my mind from the cluttered thoughts that distract me from my purpose.
Silencing my emotions where love and hate jostle for pole position.
Silencing the outside world that threatens to invade my being as a pandemic of humanity.
Silencing the egos of my fears and dreams as they wage their own battle for control of my inner universe.
Silence is only achieved when I hear Him as His perfect silence opens the gates to His whispers that become the brush strokes of His Word in my wilderness as they paint a picture of light that dispels all shadows real or imagined.
The power of silence is the miracle of being opened to the presence of His Spirit in the sweep of His brush strokes on our daily canvas. Paint me, Lord – in my silence!
