One glimpse of nature is to see praise pour out from creation’s choir!

Creation cannot but praise its creator. It sets the example and leads the way for humanity to follow.

These are the lessons to be found in the whispers, sights and sounds that abound in the wildernesses of our journey. As we let our footsteps follow the paths in nature, we are accompanied by creation and the Holy Spirit reveals the majesty of God’s works around us.

This is our inspiration. Our stimulus to burst into praise and glorify Him for the bounty that surrounds us.

May our souls be so filled with joy through our fellowship with Him that our mouths are opened in full voice as platelets of praise pour out.

To see perfect symmetry is to see the work of God’s hand!

To be exposed to any form of life, is to be exposed to what God is capable of. Yet to see life in its human form is to be confronted with the reality of what transpires when the absence of God from humanity casts the darkest of shadows on His miracle of creation.

It is in these moments that an escape into the realm of nature that surrounds us, provides a smidgen of hope. And every now and then, it is in this ‘hope’ that we come face to face with the power of the Trinity.

The iris, so named for its depiction of the rainbow colours, depicts the same colours promised in a covenant with Noah. As such, the garden is our ark of refuge from humanity in its ugliest forms. It is our soul’s lifeline to a covenant where we find His peace. It is our prayer and meditation cathedral. It is the angel choir and our communion of Your whispers.

Lord, we praise You for the blessing bestowed on our lives through the beauty You have placed in our midst for our enrichment and comfort and for all those souls that share it with us. Amen

The beauty beyond never ceases to reveal the absolute purity that exists in the creative miracle that God has blessed upon the earth.

To seek further than our own thoughts, to journey further than our own desires, to believe in more than our own egos can only be accomplished when at last we come to the realisation of the magnitude of the blessing that has been bestowed on humanity to be able to live in the presence of God.

When we come to recognise the intricate beauty of nature, then the complexities of mankind pale into insignificance. Yet we have been chosen to share this with Him!

What is this wilderness without His whispers? Each colour, hue and texture have their own words. They are spoken in a language and tone that reaches into the deepest part of the human psyche and we are blessed by His Glory as it spreads outwards and upwards overwhelming all that we are and all that we could ever hope to be.

To hold the beauty of nature in your hand is to feel creation connecting with your soul.

We cannot but marvel at nature’s glory without crediting God for the world He created for us to live in. To let nature speak to us through sight, sound and touch is to allow God into the innermost part of our being.

It is then that the Holy Spirit starts His dance upon the synapses of our existence until every cell is focused on the Glory of God.

Could we, would we …. want it any other way?

Dance Your dance, that I may dance with the Lord to the music of nature’s bounty, that I may sing His praises to the beat of a butterfly’s wings, that I may go on bended knee and worship Him, Creator of all things!

Whisperer in my wilderness, your embrace holds me in the palm of Your hand.

Hallelujah!

Lavender is for many cultures a balm for a variety of ailments, most notably for stress/tension relief and as a mood enhancer.

Even looking at the photograph eases my stress levels! You hardly notice the burnt-out trees on the horizon, evidence of a devastating fire!

Peace and tranquillity are where we look for it in time spent with God. The closer we get to His creation, the easier it is for the Trinity to find a way through the man-made barriers we erect without even knowing it. When we allow all our senses to be exposed, opened, so this helps the process in connecting with God.

So many people in the world live in areas where they are overwhelmed by the sights, sounds and smells of humanity, that their sensory overload, blocks any chance of them finding peace or a tiny corner of tranquillity. Somehow this is a luxury they may have to forego.

Others are blessed to live where God seems to wrap them in His personal cocoon of peace. And somewhere in between the rest move up and down the highs and lows of spiritual connectivity opportunities.

If we have ever been able to experience some form of connection with God, then we know the spiritual power that that has left in us and if we can have just one prayer left at the end of the day it should surely be for those who find it impossible to find His Peace in the hustle and bustle of the world today.

‘Lord for those who do not know your peace, let your wilderness whisper to them today.’
