Folklore has it that feathers are the footprints of angels!
Finding feathers is finding evidence of the Risen Lord. Blessed by the waters of our baptism are the droplets that lie basking in the reflection of His light that shines out into the world.
The light behind the white dispels the shadows in my world.
That there are angels standing guard around His created garden that I find myself in, is a comforting feeling. Heaven’s soldiers provide a line of defence in a constant battle against sin, yet at the same are an acknowledgement of His saving Grace.
Folklore or not, I dwell in a place blessed by His presence as creation embraces me. That there are angels in my every waking and sleeping moments is borne out by the whispers that float on the wing beats that echo through the labyrinth of my soul.
